The Piston Trophy was created and established within the AZ CVMA on 17 May 2015 at the Annual State Meeting in Phoenix. Chapter 32-3 were initial custodians for the trophy.

Well that was quick... 32-5 having only held the trophy for a week. Old Pueblo heard the trophy was in the valley, six members of 32-2 braved the mid day heat to run up to Buckeye and grab it.
