Specific requirements for membership are contained in the National By-laws.
There are 3 types of CVMA Membership:

Full Member
-
Veterans of the United States Armed Forces with verifiable combat service.

Acceptable proof of combat service in the form of a DD 214/215 or other service record must be submitted with membership application.

Must own and Operate a Motorcycle with a 500cc or larger engine.

Combat service will be verified by the CVMA® National Board of Directors.

Support Member
-
Veterans of the United States Armed Forces who have successfully completed basic military and advanced individual (technical) training.

Proof of military service (DD 214/215 or other service record) must be submitted with membership application.

Must own and Operate a Motorcycle with a 500cc or larger engine.

Requires sponsorship by a Full Member.
Auxiliary Member
-
Spouses, widows, or widowers of Full and Support Members in good standing with the CVMA®.

Proof of marriage must be submitted with membership application.

Exempt from the requirement to own and operate a motorcycle with a 500cc or above engine,
In order to join, contact a CVMA officer who will invite you to the next Chapter meeting and/or meet and greet. Upon request please provide a copy of your DD214 and/or related documents to verify you are qualified for membership. You will be required to complete an application and turn it in to the Chapter leadership. All applications will be verified by the National Board of Directors prior to approval. All applicants must read and understand the National By-Laws and National Protocols. These are the guidelines under which the CVMA operates.
